|
The Engineering Committee is responsible for the drafting and revision of the two ANSI/NGCMA standards preparatory to their submission for canvassee voting and the guidelines published by NGCMA. The Committee receives other assignments from the NGCMA Board and its work is subject to the Board's approval. The Committee's composition historically has included both engineering representatives of the NGCMA members and independent experts in areas necessary for the work of the Committee. NGCMA's General Counsel attends all meetings of the Committee.
Committee members historically have given unstintingly and selfishly of their time to ensure the standards and guidelines are accurate, current and of practical use to golf car and PTV owners and operators. NGCMA has been gratified and the industry has benefited from the Committee leadership which over the years has included Don Samuelson (now retired) and Chuck Fain of Club Car, Joe Lang (now deceased) of E-Z-GO Textron, Ken McClymonds formerly of Club Car, and George Land, Vice President, Engineering, Club Car, Inc. Additionally, Jimmy N. Eavenson, Sr, P.E. of Commercial Turf Products. Ltd. and Gerald W. ("Wally") Powell of E-Z-GO Textron have been particularly helpful and are the longest term members of the Committee. Presently, Kent Bruntz, Senior Engineer, E-Z-GO Textron, is Chairman of the Engineering Committee. | |
